Kyiv is discussing the possibility of increasing public transport fares. Currently, the cost of one trip is 8 hryvnias, and when buying 50 trips, it will be 6.50 hryvnias each.

Ruslan Kandybor, Director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration, noted that the real cost of travel is about 30 hryvnias. However, there are no plans to increase tariffs yet.
Experts believe that the announced amount is incorrect and may be an attempt to gauge public reaction. They emphasize the need to improve the quality of transport services and adhere to timetables before a possible fare increase.

Thus, although the discussion of increasing the cost of travel is ongoing, there are currently no specific decisions regarding changing fares in Kyiv.
