Diya.Signature is the most secure qualified electronic signature that can be activated in less than a minute. It allows you to authenticate in applications, sign documents, and obtain certain services on government resources. It is actively used to conduct legally significant matters electronically. In essence, Diya.Signature is an analogue of a handwritten signature that has legal force from the moment of signing. Please note that the Diya.Signature creation service is absolutely free.
Why do I need Action.Signature?
Action.Signature is a very necessary tool when you need to receive certain government services or check your EDS. For example, it may be needed to submit reports to the tax office or for authorization in the Driver's Office. You can also use it to sign a number of documents and receive some administrative services online without leaving your home or office. You can safely use it to sign various PDF documents: a lease agreement, an official letter, an application for vacation, a loan agreement, a pledge, a guarantee, etc. The service will allow you to forget about papers, printing documents, photos of the signed version, etc. for a long time.

First, the system must make sure that it is a living person, not a robot. Anyone who has previously issued a vaccination certificate in "Diya" probably remembers the manipulations the program required - turning the head left or right, nodding, blinking, smiling. This is how the system understands that it is a living being.
Next, artificial intelligence begins to compare your face in the gadget's camera and the face from the passport photo, which is already in the database. It is worth noting that you can get an electronic digital signature only if you have an ID card or a biometric passport. Otherwise, the system will not be able to pull up the necessary information from the corresponding database. Therefore, if you are the owner of a regular passport of the old model of 1994 in the form of a booklet, then you are unlikely to be able to get Action.Signature.
How to activate Action.Signature: step-by-step instructions
To get started, you need to log in to the “Diya” application and authenticate. You can do this via BankID or biometric data. Then follow the simple instructions:
- Click "Menu" located in the lower right corner.
- Find the “Action.Signature” item. When you use it for the first time, it will most likely be disabled. Click “Activate Action.Signature”.
- Confirm your identity using FaceID, NFC or BankID. If you choose the first option, wait for the front camera to activate.
- Next comes a rather tedious step. You will need to follow the prompts on the screen. You need to bring your face closer to the camera, and then turn your head in different directions, nod, blink. At the same time, the frames on the screen should be green. If they turn red, then you are doing something wrong. It is advisable to perform all actions in good lighting in front of a window.
- After completing the previous steps, the message “Thank you, identity confirmed” should appear.
- Create and enter a unique 5-digit password – this is for additional protection. Be sure to remember this code. Next, a certificate should be generated.
After the process is complete, the electronic signature is ready for use. The user can then use it to interact with various services and sign documents in Diia and online.
The validity period of the electronic digital signature is 12 months after creation or until deleted by the owner. Then, if necessary, the procedure can be repeated at any time.
How to use Action.Signature
- Select the desired document that you plan to sign.
- Click “Sign”.
- Confirm your identity in a way that is convenient for you. This can be a photo verification or BankID. You can also attach your ID card to your NFC-enabled phone.
- Enter the 5-digit code from the certificate.
- Done. The document is signed.
What to do if you have problems with activation?
There are quite a few reasons why there are problems with using Action.Signature. First of all, you need to check whether the facial image and the photo from the digital passport match. They must be the same. Only in this case will it be possible to activate this function. Also, to get a successful result, we recommend using the following tips:
- perform photo verification in good lighting on a plain background (without decor, paintings, or strangers);
- remove all accessories from your face and neck that are not in your passport photo;
- hold the front camera of the gadget close to your face;
- both sides of the face should be illuminated evenly;
- the color scheme of the background should not merge with the face;
- check the camera – it should be clean, free of dust and dirt;
- make sure that the color of the frames remains green;
- check if the “Action” application has access to the camera and if the camera is working at all;
- The position of the person's face should be in the center of the frame.
During the procedure, you need to follow the instructions on the screen, which you need to repeat periodically. If everything is done correctly, a corresponding message will appear that the person is confirmed. Then you can use the benefits of Action. Signature.
Sometimes the function does not work correctly because the person is abroad. In this case, you need to activate a VPN with Ukrainian settings, then log in to the application and try using the option again.

Is Action.Signature safe?
Yes, using “Diya.Pidpys” is absolutely safe. Users can be sure that no third party will be able to use this option, even if the smartphone falls into the hands of another person. After all, each use requires photo verification and entering a 5-digit code.
That is, if the face in the phone camera does not match the face in the passport photo contained in the Unified State Demographic Register, then signing documents and other manipulations will be impossible. In addition, if an incorrect digital code is entered more than 3 times, Action.Signature is deactivated and becomes unavailable for use.
It is also worth noting that Diya.Signature consists of 2 parts of a closed certificate. The first part is stored on the person's phone, and the other is stored in a securely protected module of the Diya service.
