Let's note right away that each mobile operator has its own instructions. In Ukraine, customers use only three operators, and they are well-known to everyone.
Please note that Kyivstar subscribers cannot use such a service from 11/22/2022, based on their own development strategy. Previously, the Smart Money function worked with such capabilities, but now the program is closed. With its help, you could transfer money from a mobile phone to a card account, pay for train tickets, top up another mobile operator, and pay for utility bills. And today, all Kyivstar subscribers do not have this option.
Withdraw funds via Vodafone
Before trying to take advantage of this opportunity, you should pay attention to the following factors:

- From April 1, 2024, only identified subscribers can use the service.
- Transfers are made through the operator's personal account or in customer service departments.
- The minimum transfer amount is one hryvnia, and the same amount must remain in the account at least.
- For independent transfers, you need to install the My Vodafone app on your phone.
And then everything is very simple. We go to the application and select the menu "Payment from mobile account". From the given options, click on the bank card. Enter its number and other necessary data, indicate the required amount and confirm with the password that will come to the phone via SMS.
The money will be credited within a few minutes. Vodafone customers can also disable this feature from their own number.
We transfer money via lifecell
Another significant player in the mobile market provides its subscribers with the Paycell service. To start working with it, you must meet the following conditions:
- The service is also available to customers who have passed verification and use tariff plans under signed contracts.
- If you have just started using a SIM card or changed your tariff plan, the service will become active only 8 days after activation or switching.

In the Paycell application, which can be downloaded via the official lifecell website or directly from it to the functionality. This program is adapted only for mobile transfers. You also need to click on card transfer, enter the required account number, amount and confirm your actions. Identification is carried out via SMS, you will receive a code for confirmation. After successful completion of the operation, the funds will be transferred in 1-2 minutes.
For Kyivstar users, there is only the possibility of transferring funds from their own account to another mobile phone (only for subscribers of this network) using the combination 124*amount*38011111111# and pressing the call key.
Are there any restrictions on transferring money from a mobile account to a card?
Yes, they exist. Vodafone and lifecell allow you to transfer no more than 3,000 thousand per month including the commission (you need to clarify the cost of the commission with each operator, they may differ depending on the tariff plan, individual, corporate or contract number). The minimum transfer amount is 1 hryvnia. Vodafone allows you to make no more than three transfers per day, and Life no more than five.

Usually, funds arrive very quickly, from 1 to 3 minutes, but situations are possible, such as technical work, system failures, public holidays, etc., so there may be a delay of up to three banking days.
Advantages and disadvantages of transferring from a mobile account to a bank card
Due to the small amounts and limited number of transactions per day, the service cannot be considered popular, but it has many advantages:
- Transfer money anywhere, without queues or waiting, emergency help for friends and family when you have money on your mobile. All you need is access to the internet.
- No documents are required.
- You can transfer to the card of any Ukrainian bank.
- All your personal data is securely protected.
The only disadvantages are that the service is not available to Kyivstar subscribers, there may be a large commission (from one hryvnia to 7 percent of the transfer) and a limit on the amount.
How to avoid common mistakes when transferring money from a mobile account to a card?
There are two most common unpleasant situations. The first is entering the wrong card number and transferring money to the wrong place. Therefore, all information must be entered very carefully.

And the second is scammers. Unfortunately, the problem exists, and in a hurry or other circumstances, a person can say the password or data from the phone number, for registration in the personal account of the mobile operator. Never transfer your personal information to third parties!
Alternatives to transferring money from a mobile account to a card
